Nigeria: VFD Group appoints new board members

VFD Group Plc, a sector-agnostic proprietary investment company publicly traded on the Nigerian Exchange Limited, has revealed the appointment of two new independent non-executive directors, pending shareholder approval at the upcoming annual general meeting.

In a  statement, the board of directors introduced Ms. Rashida Saleh and Ms. Nneka Okekearu as new additions to its leadership team.

These appointments underscore VFD’s commitment to enhancing corporate governance and consolidating its strategic direction.

Saleh has over 25 years of experience as a human resources, treasury and contract management professional, 15 of which were spent in senior management roles in financial and oil and gas services.

Her core competencies encompass treasury management, contract management, human resources management, strategic planning, operations, and change management.

Okekearu, on the other hand, is a well-known creative and energetic leader who has demonstrated success in managing catalytic programs on financial inclusion, company development, highly complicated client interactions and audits.

She has almost two decades of experience in the creation and administration of SMEs.

“We are delighted to have Rashida Saleh and Nneka Okekearu join the board,” said GMD/CEO of the group, Nonso Okpala.
