Calista Amoateng appointed as the tourism Ambassador for Ghana

Miss Teen Tourism World 2022, Calista Amoateng has been made Tourism Ambassador for Ghana at the launch of her project at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

Calista Amoateng is the winner of the ultimate world event, Miss Teen Tourism World 2022 and for emerging as the overall winner, Ghana was unveiled as the host for its pageantry in 2023.

During the launch of her project, The Star Alignment Project targeted youth empowerment and poverty eradication, Calista was made the Tourism Ambassador for Ghana and decorated by the Chief of Staff, Mrs. Frema Osei Opare, a special guest of honour at the event.

The Chief of Staff honoured Calista for her achievements at a young age.

“Her efforts, her zeal, and achievement at this very young age, representing Ghana on the world stage is not an easy task and it is admirable to see the grace, the poise, the confidence with which Calista flew the flag of Ghana high to win the Miss Teen Tourism World 2022 in Manila in the Philippines, Congratulations’’, she said.

It is not a small feat and we haven’t made enough noise I think but from now, I think we will make more noise. We need to celebrate our successes and the successes of young people like Calista’’, she added.

It is inevitable that when girls are empowered, they can drive a lot of greatness. It is our desire as a government to ensure that young girls are given opportunities to explore their talents with a lot of guidance. As we empower young girls, we should also remember to also bring along our young boys,” she concluded.

As part of the projects Calista is embarking on, she paid a kind courtesy to widows of the Akrofi Foundation at Atimpoku to support them financially and held a free medical screening at Efutu in the Central Region.

During Christmas last year, Calista donated items to newborn babies at the Achimota Hospital and organized a get-together for children at Jamestown on boxing day.
